An Expert Witness may be appointed in connection with Adjudications, Arbitrations and Litigations. Appointments may be made by the Parties to the dispute or by the Court as a Single Joint Expert. Whilst such appointments are personal, and irrespective of whether appointment is made by the Parties or by the Court, the role of the Expert is nevertheless to provide independent and impartial evidence to the respective tribunal (i.e. Adjudication, Arbitration) so as to assist them in reaching a decision.
